After years of wanting to keep a visual journal, I finally started in May of 2018. I began by calling it a logbook (thanks for the word, Austin Kleon), using a cheap sketchbook and materials, and only required filling one 5”x7” page per day. All those choices made it feel pretty approachable, yet broad enough for some exploration. And that ‘per day’ piece has been pretty loose; pages/days can be up to three days late, but each day must be documented!
